Winding Willow Farm has had numerous productions over the past 6 years. As a main attraction, it offers a late 1800s replica mid-western post and beam barn. One of its most interesting shoots inside was from Season 3 episode 12 of “The Magicians”. An 800lb trained grizzly played the bartender in the land of Fillory. To add to the mid-west feel of the property is a 40 foot 1930s replica windmill.
The home could be best described as “french country traditional”, offering large rough-cut fir beams throughout. The rolling pastoral setting not only offers great still shots but numerous movie shoot opportunities. The rear third of the 15 acre property is heavily treed and could be best described as “Stanley Park like.” The large diameter cedar and fir trees surround multiple trails, ponds with swamp like areas as well. The deep dark forest with hundreds of sword ferns create many possibilities for nature shoots or supernatural thrillers.
The property offers multiple parking locations for production equipment trucks and production staff. The property has little to no impact on surrounding neighbours as the majority of the property is surrounded by trees and not visible to the road or the adjacent neighbours. Locations for “The Circus” are only a few blocks away at the Drive in Theatre or the Otter Co-op.
